Puppet Camp
“This will be our 7th year of Puppet Camp! Kids create delightfully unique puppets with movable mouths and arms, and we are consistently amazed by their creativity and enthusiasm. By the end of the week, they’re ready to bring their puppets to life in hilarious shows and vignettes. We also play ukuleles with the intention to cultivate a love of music. The connections that form among the kids are truly heartwarming. This is a camp you won’t want your child to miss—it’s absolutely delightful!”

“This camp buzzes with excitement, creativity, and collaboration! Each day, kids dive into hands-on art—designing costumes, crafting masks, and creating all kinds of cool, imaginative pieces that bring their characters to life. We build, play, and invent together, sparking hilarious and adventurous stories along the way. Within this shared rhythm, we’re bursting with ideas for our fast-paced, live-action story adventure at the end of the week. And somewhere in all that creativity and laughter, we become a true camp family.”

Kyala Joy
FOUNDER/TEACHER/MENTOR
Kyala is a multi faceted teacher/mentor who has been developing her tool kit for over 25 years. She has travelled around world exploring innovative and alternative ways to connect with and inspire children. Kyala is a musician and artist with a diploma in Waldorf Education from Sacramento California and a BSc in Chemical Engineering.

Jolene Dosch
TEACHER/MENTOR
Jolene teaches grade 6/7 in Vancouver B.C. She is also a mutli grade art teacher who brings her love of nature, colour and multi media to her curriculum . She is a passionate artist who recently curated an art show of her beautiful water colour paintings. Jolene exudes Kindness and is fully present as she helps kids with whatever is needed. She is a gem!

Emily Goldsmith
TEACHER/MENTOR
Emily holds a Bachelor of Education specializing in French. They are a multi faceted human who is also a musician, actor and a published writer. Emily works full time in the classroom as a french teacher. Curiosity and play are two of her biggest passions and she truly sees children as the expert of both. Emily brings joy , excellent organization skills as well as loving, helping hands.
