BLOCK 1

Rhythmic Fluency

Layered Rhythmic Patterns, Bucket Drumming Ensemble, Movement Based Choreography, Drum Set Patterns, and Rhythmic Notation. The focus is on connection, emotional grounding, confidence building, timing and pulse skill development.

We sing all year round

BLOCK 3

Ukulele Ensemble

Chord Progressions, Scales, Reading Musical Tab Notation, and Rhythmic Based Strumming. Singing while Strumming and Group Ensemble Pieces. The focus is independent practice habits, and listening.

BLOCK 2

Melodic Ensemble

Melodic phrasing, layered ensemble parts, musical form, musical collaboration and notation reading. Xylophones, Piano, Bells, and Boom Whackers. The focus is on listening, melodic awareness, ensemble sensitivity and balancing sound.

BLOCK 4

Rock Band

Students Collaborate as a Functioning Band with Piano, Electric Ukulele and U-Bass, Drums and Vocals. The focus is on staying steady in a part, musical belonging, teamwork, care for instruments, stage presence, and musical enjoyment!
